After successfully introducing WhatsApp Web,WhatsApp is now planning to step further by introducing a new feature Voice Calling.WhatsApp Free calling feature has been discussed in the TechCircles for a while now.So far,WhatsApp helps people to communicate through text messages,images,video files,audio files...With this expected update WhatsApp users can enjoy free calling facility.
WhatsApp says that its development team is looking for the ways to implement this feature in poor data coverage areas,considering the fact that WhatsApp consumes very lesser amount of data so far.
However this feature is expected to be available for the users of Android Lollipop and Android Kitkat.Hence the users whose current version is below kitkat should wait until WhatsApp releases further updates for lower version phones
However this feature seems very much closer to launch,with the latest reports citing evidence from the screenshots of this voice calling interfacce
